Гранты IBM для аспирантов ... Уважаемые коллеги, IBM объявила о начале конкурса по Программе «Гранты IBM для аспирантов» на 2009-2010 академический год. Период приема заявок на участие: с 22 сентября по 31 октября, 2008. Предполагается участие аспирантов, ведущих ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ*) и РАЗРАБОТКИ*) во многих академических областях, например: информатика и ИТ инжиниринг, электро- и машиностроение, новые материалы (включая химию, материаловедение, и физику), математические науки (включая оптимизацию), исследования рынка и финансы (включая предоставление финансовых услуг, коммуникации, и обучение), науку об услугах, управлении и инжиниринге услуг. IBM объявила о начале конкурса по Программе «Гранты IBM для аспирантов» на 2009-2010 академический год. Период приема заявок на участие: 22 сентября к 31 октября, 2008. Предполагается участие аспирантов, ведущих ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ*) и РАЗРАБОТКИ*) во многих академических областях, например: информатика и ИТ инжиниринг, электро- и машиностроение, новые материалы (включая химию, материаловедение, и физику), математические науки (включая оптимизацию), исследования рынка и финансы (включая предоставление финансовых услуг, коммуникации, и обучение), науку об услугах, управлении и инжиниринге услуг. При рассмотрении заявок дополнительно, IBM будет уделять особое внимание работам в следующих областях, представляющих интерес в плане инноваций:  Технология, которая создает добавочную стоимость: Оптимизация, риск и соответствие законодательным нормам (в логистике), применение ИТ в медицине, проектирование сервисов и СОА в целях повышения эффективности бизнеса, социальные сети, моделирование и анализ данных, системы поставок, наука об услугах, управлении и инжиниринге услуг, инструментальные средства глобализации бизнеса.  Инновационное программное обеспечение: Взаимодействие человек - компьютер , новые выразительные методы управления компьютером, программирование моделей и инструментальных средств, машинный перевод, онтологии, системы реального времени, системы, отображающие реальный мир, интеллектуальные встроенные системы, обработка потоков событий, Web 2.0, трехмерный Internet.  Новые типы компьютеров: Использование массового параллелизма для ненаучных / нетехнических приложений, cell/многоядерные процессоры, управление питанием, 3D-системы и интеграция, нанотехнология и пост-CMOS устройства цифровой логики, памяти, и связи.  Междисциплинарные проекты: Моделирование и управление распределением воды и энергии, управление вычислительными центрами виртуализации, автономные вычисления, гибридные системы, вычисления из облака (cloud computing), центры обработки данных в Интернет, «зеленые» системы / центры данных, «зеленые» вычисления. Программа «Гранты IBM для аспирантов» поддерживает диверсификацию рабочей силы и поощряет номинации женщин, национальных меньшинств и всех, кто способствуют такой диверсификации. Вся информация для связи, резюме, и рекомендации должны быть приложены к номинации. Мы просим, чтобы число номинаций от факультета было не больше двух (в дополнение к любым уже существующим номинациям). Если представляется более одной номинации научный руководитель должен включить сведения относительно достоинств всех кандидатов и назначить приоритеты. Аспиранты должны завершить, по крайней мере, один год обучения на момент их номинации. Аспиранты из России и Европы могут быть выдвинуты в первом году обучения. Гранты предоставляются в течение девятимесячного академического года 2009-2010. Размер предоставляемых грантов назначается с учетом уровня цен в стране пребывания. Для выполнения работ по гранту победителям конкурса предоставляется в течение этого срока ноутбук ThinkPad. Получение грантов от IBM не исключает получение грантов из других источников. Особенности участия аспирантов из России: аспирант должен быть рекомендован членом преподавательского состава факультета. Они могут быть выдвинуты в первом году работы по аспирантской программе. IBM Ph.D. Fellows are awarded tuition, fees, and a stipend for one nine-month academic year. Stipends vary by country/geography and the student will be informed at the time of the award what the stipend is for their country/geography. All IBM Ph.D. Fellows are matched with an IBM Mentor according to their technical interests, and they are strongly encouraged to participate in an internship at least once, while completing their studies. A ThinkPad is awarded during the internship. Internship assignments are designed to strengthen and broaden the Award Recipient''s technical experience and contacts. Interns are paid by their host site and will be subject to the prevailing terms and conditions of the internship program at that site. IBM is an equal opportunity employer. They must be enrolled full-time in a college or university Ph.D. program, and they may be nominated in their first year of study in their doctoral program.
